My Big Dream And My Friends

Phew…here I am! Sounds like I have been plucked out from the clouds and thrown back to earth….haha. So sorry for the long silence. I have not disappeared. I know it has been quite a few weeks that I have not updated my blog. Now I think I am in trouble….trying to summarise all that happened in the past few weeks in one post! Let’s see how much I can type with my 3 fingers. Blogging has actually helped me to type quite fast these days even with 3 fingers, actually using 2 of the time!

Blogging and Friends - 1st Meet-up With A Food Blogger

Blogger meet-up at Westfield

Blogger meet-up at Westfield, London

I’m really glad that I started blogging 1+ years ago, started last June. I would have started way earlier if I knew it would be so much fun. Not only did I learn a lot of new recipes (most of the recipes on my blog are new), saving all my recipes in one place for easy reference but blogging has opened up to a whole new world of like-minded people who love to cook and eat! Many have become very good friends to me. I must say blogging is one of the best hobbies I can think of. If you love to cook or eat, why not start a food blog? It’s very easy to start one.

My Little Friends My Inspiration

7 year old colouring

7 year old colouring

I promised my 2 little friends, Jemima who is 7 years old and Alistair who is 4 years old, that I will tell the world about them and show the world their drawings that they did for me. They are an inspiration to me.

It was just amazing how we became friends through blogging. Their mom, Stella, has been a regular reader (not blogger) of my blog and has become a very good friend……just amazing! It was Biren from Roti n Rice, another very good friend, who introduced her to my blog. Stella emailed me one day about my recipe. Before I realised it she was trying some out. I remembered a few months ago when she told me she must have cooked my Plum Sauce Chicken at least 9 times because her children like it very much!! Wow….even I have not cooked it so many times! That was so encouraging!

Special Blogger Friend And Gift

A special gift from Anncoo

A special gift from Anncoo

I must say that my weekend was bad and good at the same time. It was bad because my recent blog post, Salmon Burger And Kids Meal, was stolen minutes after it was published! This is the second content theft happened to my blog within such a short time. It was really upsetting. What a way to my weekend! Recently I had shared about Stealing And Scrapping Blog Content - Are You Aware? I will share more soon

Well, it was not an all-bad weekend. The next day I received a parcel….all the way from Singapore! It was quite heavy. I was utterly speechless when I saw Ann’s name on the parcel! My eyes must have popped out and my heart must have missed many beats. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I was just so touched by her love. Inside the box were a few packets of herbs for chicken soup, green and red curry pastes and also konyakku jelly powder and a card. My children were totally astonished. They exclaimed, ‘WOW’. The next moment, they were excitedly screaming, ‘Mom, cook this! Cook this one first!’

Mother’s Day Happy Healthy Brunch (Guest Post)

Mother's Day Healthy Breakfast

Mother's Day Happy Healthy Brunch

I’m very excited to share this beautiful, healthy brunch for Mother’s Day which falls on 9th May, 2010 in many countries. This is a guest post by Biren of Roti n Rice. It’s such a privilege and an honour to have her as a guest blogger. I didn’t tell Biren what dish to write for my blog but she spotted me right in my heart…a colourful, healthy and delicious dish……just what I love!! I was surprised but really happy. This is really perfect for me for brunch, in fact any time. I always have a glass of freshly made carrot-apple juice in the morning. This plate would fit me very well at about 10.30 a.m. I will be totally satisfied and happy.
