Chocolate swiss rolls

Chocolate swiss rolls

Yeah…I’m a guest blogger today! I was thrilled when Biren invited me to be her first guest blogger….wow! She said I can take my time to write it as she will still reserve me to be her first guest blogger…….what an honour! But of course I won’t keep her waiting too long. I was excited to write for her blog.

Biren is an amazing food blogger and friend. She is another lovely friend that I met through blogging. She is a very friendly lady and even though I have just known her for a short time, it looks like I have known her for a long time. Her zeal and excitement in life has always been an inspiration. She has a lovely blog, Roti n Rice, which is about 5 months old and is full of awesome home cooking and bakes.

Stealing And Scraping Blog Content - Protect Yours!

Stop Thinking. Start Acting!

Stop Thinking! Start Acting!

Just last week I blogged about Stealing And Scrapping Blog Contents - Are You Aware?. 2 days later, another of my post, Malaysian Curry Fish Laksa, was again stolen…just within minutes after I published it!! That’s seriously frustrating and annoying. Many of you want to know how I found out. I will tell you in  a minute.

I thought it wouId be safer after I changed my full RSS feed to partial feed but still the photos, contents and all were stolen. Just how frustrating! I bet it will prevent many amateur thieves and scrapers but those professional ones will still know how to go about with it. I have left  a comment in the comment box like in the previous case, requesting it to be removed. The next day, my post was no longer there. Unlike the previous case, all the rest of the others are still there and lots of blog contents continued to be stolen each day. The stolen posts were published in such a way that it’s very difficult to find the real post authors. Everything you click ends up in that scraper’s blog!

Special Blogger Friend And Gift

A special gift from Anncoo

A special gift from Anncoo

I must say that my weekend was bad and good at the same time. It was bad because my recent blog post, Salmon Burger And Kids Meal, was stolen minutes after it was published! This is the second content theft happened to my blog within such a short time. It was really upsetting. What a way to my weekend! Recently I had shared about Stealing And Scrapping Blog Content - Are You Aware? I will share more soon

Well, it was not an all-bad weekend. The next day I received a parcel….all the way from Singapore! It was quite heavy. I was utterly speechless when I saw Ann’s name on the parcel! My eyes must have popped out and my heart must have missed many beats. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I was just so touched by her love. Inside the box were a few packets of herbs for chicken soup, green and red curry pastes and also konyakku jelly powder and a card. My children were totally astonished. They exclaimed, ‘WOW’. The next moment, they were excitedly screaming, ‘Mom, cook this! Cook this one first!’

Life is a journey. Keep Smiling!

Life is a journey. Keep Smiling!

Life is truly a journey, in all things that you do. There is no smooth journey but keep smiling as you learn and trudge along life’s journey. When the going is easy…enjoy it. When the going is tough and challenging, keep smiling and keep going. This is my friend, Cole. He loves challenges in life. Nothing can deter him. He is always excited about life, happy and smiling. He is a real inspiration.

Blogging is a journey. It is a very challenging hobby, or work for some. It is hard work. I know of many who spend a lot of time on their blog, working on it like a full time job. But like all other journeys, there are challenges and setback on the way. But like any other journey, it is important to enjoy it and keep smiling as we keep learning. One of the greatest challenges is to face up to content thieves who go round stealing and using it as their own for their own benefits.

Mother’s Day Happy Healthy Brunch (Guest Post)

Mother's Day Healthy Breakfast

Mother's Day Happy Healthy Brunch

I’m very excited to share this beautiful, healthy brunch for Mother’s Day which falls on 9th May, 2010 in many countries. This is a guest post by Biren of Roti n Rice. It’s such a privilege and an honour to have her as a guest blogger. I didn’t tell Biren what dish to write for my blog but she spotted me right in my heart…a colourful, healthy and delicious dish……just what I love!! I was surprised but really happy. This is really perfect for me for brunch, in fact any time. I always have a glass of freshly made carrot-apple juice in the morning. This plate would fit me very well at about 10.30 a.m. I will be totally satisfied and happy.

Beautiful Mt Kinabalu - Malaysia

Beautiful Mt Kinabalu, Malaysia (South Peak)

Beautiful Mt Kinabalu, Malaysia (South Peak)

I am always fascinated by mountains. I love mountains. They speak so much about life (will share another time). I have climbed a couple very low ones which took about an hour to reach to the top. The highest that I have climbed was Lochnagar, 1155m high, here in Scotland. The climb was tough but the mountain top view was absolutely stunning. But here I’m excited to introduce to you the most beautiful mountain in South East Asia, none other than Mt Kinabalu of Malaysia.

Mary Moh’s Birthday Surprises

Birthday joy

Birthday joy

It’s my birthday today…yeah!! I’m  a year older, hopefully a year wiser. It’s such a thrill to receive birthday wishes from all over the world. A friend back home sent me a triple greeting….Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and my Birthday. He called it ‘triple happiness’. I fully agree with him. I think this has been a special and awesome season for me….great time with my friends, lots of special attention from my hubby and children and of course lots of special gifts, one of them being my new Apple computer!
