Who is Mary Moh?

Mary was born and grew up in Sarawak, Malaysia. She graduated in 1986 with Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education. She taught upper secondary school Maths for 6 years before she resigned to travel with her husband, Steven, and 2 young daughters to Kuala Lumpur and later to Koje-Do, South Korea, due to job relocation. On returning to Malaysia, she started and ran a successful Maths Tuition Centre. Her passion in teaching was the key to her success. She closed her tuition centre before moving to Aberdeen, Scotland, in 2003, again due to job relocation.

During times away from home, she learned to cook and bake while enjoying her time with her children, teaching them many things. She learned to bake at least 20 cakes and cook various popular Malaysian dishes. Her passion in cooking gave her the confidence to run a successful food takeaway in Aberdeen which she later sold for some profit.

Mary is also very passionate about learning natural health and helping others to take responsibility to improve their health through diet and lifestyle changes and therapies. Through it all her own poor health improved tremendously and her little daughter was completely cured of her severe leg pain, endless stomache ache and skin problem which doctors offered no cure. Her passion in helping others gain health saw her success in a natural health business.

The most dramatic and memorable was when her best friend, Wendy, was cured of aggressive lymphatic cancer. Today, 6+ years later, Wendy is completely cured of the cancer. She puts in every ounce of effort everyday to make juice, eat a healthy diet and live a healthy lifestyle. She even plants her own vegetables.

Above all else, Mary’s greatest passion is her family. Her whole focus is on her 2 daughters from young until now, fully devoted to loving and caring, training and teaching them . Cooking, health, teaching and self-development comes like a powerful package for this matter.

As a person, Mary is fun-loving, confident and vibrant, has a very positive outlook in life, a risk-taker and doesn’t easily take ‘NO’ for an answer. She always says, ‘There should be a way. I’ll find out.’ This must have come from a Mathematician’s mindset - problem solving.

Mary has so many dreams that you don’t know what her next dream is. She has seen many of her dreams come true. She believes that dreams make you alive and excited about life. She believes that if you don’t have a dream, you can start dreaming one today. If you have a dream, get out there and work hard to achieve it. And if your dream is destroyed, just dream another dream. You can learn more about Mary by reading the articles below:

Hey Mary,
It’s only today I got to know that you are in Aberdeen. We used to be in Edinburgh for a while. I loved the Aberdeen beef sausages. Miss them. Good to know you.

Mary  on October 29th, 2009

@Shirley - That’s really nice to know you were in Edinburgh before…..great city. I went for the military tattoo festival there a few years ago and it was just mind-blowing. My family absolutely enjoyed the whole military show…excellent. Aberdeen angus beef…awww….that’s really the best! Where are you staying now?

Shirley  on October 30th, 2009

We used to live just next to the Edinburgh Rugby stadium. We enjoyed our just married days there and have a fond memories of the highlands and our times there. Now we live in India and have a son and daughter.
Say Mary why dont you do some Scottish special posts? Maybe Haggis or even a scrumptious Scottish breakfast. Go on!

Mary  on October 30th, 2009

@Shirley - Thanks for sharing. Yes, I have been thinking of putting up some Scottish food but looks like my skill is not enough. My best is the sticky toffee pudding and of course the angus beef. Maybe I really should put up a few….the simpler ones. Thanks very much for giving me that suggestion. I hope you enjoy your stay in India. Any special Indian food that you particularly enjoy?
