Here are the wonderful dishes cooked by participants using Scotty Brand vegetables. They look so delicious……mmmm.
This dish was cooked by Uma…….yorkshire puddings filled with Scotch Broth mix. I must say they look gorgeous and delicious! Would be perfect for parties too. Vegetarians definitely will go thumbs up for this one! Thanks very much for sharing this dish, Uma!
This potato pizza was cooked by PING. Wow…..never in a million years would I ever think of using potato as the base for a pizza. Brilliant idea, PING! That’s such a healthy option. I would love to try that one day. Thanks very much for sharing this dish, PING!
Oh, by the way, PING actually said this:
“We did buy some Scotty Brand potatoes and carrots and they are nice indeed. Today we made this potato pizza–it’s like ordinary pizza only using potato for the pizza base instead of flour. It’s soft and creamy, not so chewy, which is great for little ones. My daughter got to choose the ingredients she likes—pepperoni, mushroon and cheese. She also helped with arranging them on top. It’s really fun to involve kids in the kitchen. It turned out that both of them finished most of it for dinner!”
Isn’t that amazing that kids love this pizza? So, if you have little kids, give this a try. I’m sure you have to make more otherwise you will left with none…..hehe.
This dish was cooked by Lorraine. I just love curry. It would be so good with roti canai (flaky Indian bread), a very popular bread served usually with lentil curry. Didn’t think of chickpeas in curry. I would love to try that. This dish would be perfect for vegetarians. It can go well with bread or scooped over rice or noodles too…..mmm. Definitely a winter warmer. Thanks very much, Lorraine, for sharing this lovely dish!
These carrot fritters was shared by Alan. My…they look so golden and delicious. I’m always very impressed when a man cooks! Very often men cook better than women. Just look at the many famous men chefs.
I love fritters. They are good for any time. I always like to eat mine with sweet chilli sauce….mmmm. These fritters are perfect for vegetarians too. They would also be excellent for picnics or parties. Thanks very much for sharing your dish, Alan!
And this is what Alan said:
“I like Scotty Brand vegetables and fruits and buy them often. They are really very fresh. I am all for Scottish farmers.”
Indeed, it’s really good to support local farmers. If we don’t support them, who will? I love local produce as they are more fresh
This dish was shared by Jordan. At this time of the year when the weather is bitterly cold, this would be just the perfect dish for me to keep me warm. Looks really delicious. Would be so nice poured over noodles or pasta…..mmm.
This is what Jordan said about Scotty Brand potatoes:
“First time I’ve tried Scotty Brand products, and I must say their potatoes are amazing! We used it to make mashed potato for another meal as well and it tastes better than other potatoes we’ve had. Even just plain on its own!”
I fully agree with Jordan. I just love the potatoes. I love to cut them into big chunks and add them to chicken curry……very delicious. I also love to cut them into wedges, coat with seasoning and bake them…..mmm. Thanks very much for sharing your dish, Jordan!
I do hope you enjoy looking and drooling over these dishes as much as I do. I am always learning from others. It just makes blogging so fun!…..*big smiles*
I have also tried quite a number of dishes using Scotty Brand vegetables and fruits. I have some here that you may be interested in:
Quote of the day……
“Live life fully while you’re here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don’t try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”
