I’m sharing with you my favourite, daily health drink. And that is Bragg’s apple cider vinegar and raw honey mixed. To me, it’s my best cocktail….a highly healthy one. I drink 2 big mugs a day. My big Starbuck mug (pictured above) holds at least 2 cups. I love to use big mugs because it encourages me to drink as I do my work on my computer or watch tv. I don’t gulp it all down in one go but in sips. That big mug generally lasts me about 1 hour or so.
My husband also has a big mug, much bigger than mine! I’m sure his can hold at least 3 cups. I always make him this healthy cocktail later in the evening while he watches tv. I still remember the first time when I served him his big mug of drink. He gave me a horrified look and thought I was crazy. I bet in his mind he was counting the number of times he was going to run to the toilet that night…..hahaha. Well, I told him that mug is supposed to last him 2 hours and not 2 minutes. He followed….quite obedient huh……..*grin*. Did he keep running to the toilet that night? Thank goodness….NO! Otherwise that would be his last drink I believe.
Not too sure if you are aware that an acidic body makes you vulnerable to sicknesses and diseases. It’s conducive to viruses and bacteria. Our body functions at its best at about pH 7.4. There are lots of factors that contribute to an acidic body. They are mainly poor nutrition, pollutants, drugs, poisons and chemicals that we breath in or ingest. Do read the ingredients when you buy household stuff and food. The best is to stay away from processed and canned food as they are loaded with preservatives and additives. Besides some cleaning liquids are so loaded with strong chemicals that they can even choke you to death before your cleaning is done.
An easy way to measure your body pH is to get pH strips. You can easily get them online. They are very easy to use. All instructions are given. I still remember years ago when I was very sick, my pH was about 6! That was frightening. Changes in food, lifestyle and the things that I use at home are key factors to help my blood pH up. Our body cannot fight off diseases if our blood pH is not properly balanced.
A lot of research has shown a link between an acidic pH and cancer. Cancer survives in an acidic and no oxygen environment. Acidic pH is also the underlying factor in many chronic, degenerative diseases like diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, pre-aging, autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue, etc. But it is easy to correct our pH and improve our health.

When your body is healthy, you will feel vibrant, lots of energy, high mental clarity, good digestion, no body aches and pains and a lean trim body. It’s all worth your time and effort to eat and live healthy. In fact, eating and living healthy shouldn’t be seen as a burden. It should be taken as a joy and a lifestyle. No one can help you but yourself. But we can all be a support and an encouragement to one another.
Right, back to my favourite healthy cocktail drink. It takes you the most 1 minute to make it and it’s very alkalising to the body.

He told me his cousins all live to about 100 years old….wow! I asked him what’s the secret. He replied, ‘HONEY!’ And it is raw honey, still with the honey comb. He told me if he visits his cousin again, who live further north, he will get a bottle for me. Awwww….so sweet of him!

My Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey drink recipe is very easy and simple:
2T raw honey
2T Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
Put all a big mug. Add warm water. Not too hot please. Otherwise you will kill all the live enzymes in it. Stir well and enjoy.
Oh, before I forget. I was told that you should never use a metal spoon to scoop honey. I use a plastic spoon. You can also use a wooden spoon. I read that raw honey itself is acidic (alkaline forming after digestion) and it will react with a metal spoon.
