Vinegar and powder mixture

Vinegar and powder mixture

I am back in Malaysia! It’s wonderful to be back but what a long flight….*sigh*. However I am very glad to say that from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, there were 3 empty seats beside me….too happy for words….*big smiles*. I lied stretched out to sleep through my flight. Very, very lucky! Poor hubby didn’t get the chance to lie down. That’s real love huh…..*big wink*. Well, he knows he will be a happier man when his wife is not tired, sleepy and grumpy…hehe.

But I wasn’t so lucky when I came back last year. I sat in between 2 big sized men. They were friends but they didn’t want to sit next to each other. They must have prayed very hard for a small sized person to fill the seat. They smiled so widely when I came. But for me, deep down I screamed, ‘OH NO!!!’ even though I smiled to them and say ‘thanks’, after the one at the isle stood up to let me in. Fear and anxiety gripped me. What if they fell asleep and dropped towards me? They would crush me and make a good sandwich out of me! For once I wish I had learned karate or tae kwando!! But thank goodness, they kept themselves awake the whole night watching movies and playing games….phew!

I’m back for 2 weeks already. The days just passed by too fast. There are so much food that I look forward to eating but the heat and the humidity just kill my appetite. As usual, I have to struggle about a week with my sleeping and eating…..sleepy and hungry all at the wrong time…..*sigh*. It has been raining the past few days which really helps to cool down the weather a little.

I miss my blogging a lot as I have limited access to internet and also not much time. But just thought I must get this post out. I am just so excited to have found a powerful, simple and effective cure for bruises that I want to share here. If you have little kids, or clumsy and careless like me, you really must know this cure.

You see, my brother-in-law is so sweet to lend us his car to use. But I must have been so clumsy. I knocked my forehead at the car boot while trying to take stuff out of the boot…..ouch! A little bump appeared and hurt for days. I kept quiet. A few days later, I hit my cheekbone at the corner of the car door while trying to get in…another ouch! Just can’t believe it!! That’s SO clumsy….hmmm. I ran into the house, grabbed a bag of frozen fish balls (the first thing I saw in the freezer) and put it on my face at the painful area. That’s the only cure that I know of that may help.

Artificial vinegar

Baby powder

My parents-in-law saw my ‘weird’ behaviour and I had to explain. What a clumsy daughter-in-law they have!…haha. I felt embarrassed of course. My mother-in-law teased me saying, ‘You and the car are not fated to be friends!’ Sweet and naughty huh…..haha. My father-in-law asked me to use vinegar mixed with talcum powder. Vinegar with talcum powder? That doesn’t make sense to me! How would that work. The vinegar may bite my skin. Oh no! So I said, ‘Never mind. It’s ok. I think this cold compress would do’. It was so painful that I just love the cold feeling.

But then my sister-in-law walked in and she also insisted that I should use vinegar and powder. She said it worked even on her little 3 year old son. Wow! If it works on a little child’s skin, then it should be fine on my face I thought. I’m more convinced. Might as well give it a try since they said it’s so effective. Besides, I won’t want to walk around with a bruised face as if punched by someone! Well, you probably won’t believe it like me. There was no bruise at all the next day!! Amazing, just amazing! Only a very slight swelling and still a little painful. I was supposed to used it again the next day but was too busy and I forgot about it. It’s hard to believe but it’s true. What a wonderful simple cure for bruises! Having said that, I hope I had not hurt my father-in-law’s ego!….shhhh.

Apply mixture on bruise

Apply mixture on bruise at the back

Then, sadly, a few days later, my father-in-law fell from the stairs. He was carrying a pail of water down the stairs. I didn’t see how he fell but I heard a loud bang. We ran out from the kitchen and saw him sitting on the floor, water all over. He must have tripped when he reached the bottom step. Obviously he was in pain. We helped him up and I noticed a bruise and swelling on his backbone at his waist area. He must have fallen right on the corner of the step. He also complained of pain in his shoulder. But I was really worried of his backbone. It looks a little dented in. We got him settled. My mother-in-law immediately make the vinegar and powder mixture to apply on the injured backbone while my hubby went to check it out at the Chinese Dr who’s clinic is just a few minutes away. There is a very famous bone and muscles Chinese Dr there. So thankful he had not gone back for lunch.

We cleaned off the vinegar and powder mixture and my husband took him to the Chinese doctor. The doctor on looking and feeling it said the disc between the vertebrae was displaced. He fixed it and applied a BIG plastic with some medicine over it. He also massaged his shoulder. Another big plaster with medicine over it, too. He was also given one week’s Chinese medicine to take. If there’s still pain on his back, then he has to go for X-ray. However, the next day, there was only a light pinkish colour and no pain…wow! After about a week, the shoulder area was still painful. We took him back to the Dr and he massaged and pulled gently. There was a soft cracking sound. The next day, there was little pain left. He is all fine now. What a relief!

So, if ever you knock yourself somewhere or it happened to someone, quickly run and make the vinegar and powder mixture to apply. Don’t try to reason it out like me. There’s no harm in trying. And it does work quite like magic….so cheap, so easy, so simple and yet so effective!

Finally I’m done with this post…..*big smiles*. It sure took me quite a long time to write it. I keep reminding myself that I must post this before Christmas Day. Christmas is all about love and sharing and this is my best gift to you for Christmas this year….a very simple and effective cure for bruises! I really hope that it’s useful to you.

There’s so much to tell you about my time back here. I’ll tell you soon…over the weeks. This holiday is just too busy but good though, except for the bruises….sigh! Nevertheless… I’ll always¬†KEEP LEARNING KEEP SMILING!! Of course, KEEP SHARING, too!

Wishing everyone a
filled with fun, love, joy, peace and a new hope each day!!

Hi Mary!

So glad to see you posting again. Oh dear me, what ever will I do with you, my dear? Not only hurt yourself once, but twice? As funny as this post was in the beginning, I really do hope you’re all better now. Plesae do take good care of yourself, ok?

I’ve never heard of this cure for bruises before. Definitely great for people with kids as they’re always getting bruises here and there. I’ll be sure to give this a try next time one of my “three” kids get a bruise. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I’m so sorry to hear about the accident your father in-law had. Glad to know that he is all fine now. Hope you have a great rest of the time there. And don’t forget your PASSPORT or it’s not going to be only your mother in-law making fun of you ;) :P Take good care!
