I quite like to eat fries, just for fun if I go to MacDonald, but I hardly eat potato wedges. Recently I received some Schwartz seasonings. I saw this packet of Southern Fries Wedges that looks very tempting on the packaging. With friends dropping by yesterday, I thought it’s a good time to try. There’s some risk to take. I know my friends all love my Malaysian food. So, what if they don’t like it? I console myself that it’s ok. They are not picky eaters and I just have to believe they will like it. In anyway, there are other food for them to choose.
Outcome? It was a hit! We liked it VERY much! My gosh….it was just SO good! You have to believe me…….someone who seldom eats potatoes except in chicken curries. I will definitely cook this very often, especially for parties in my home. It’s so super simple, easy and quick. My friend said she has to go back to cook it immediately for dinner. But I told her, “You don’t have my recipe!” I told her to wait for my blog post if she wants the exact flavour and taste….so mean of me huh….. *grin*. So I better post this soon before she strangles me…haha.
There’s no secret to this wonderful potato wedges. All you need is the Schwartz Southern Fried Wedges seasoning. But you do need good baking potatoes. I am not good in choosing the types of potatoes. I always buy a packet of 4 potatoes inside. I had used one for curry and had 3 left. The amount of seasoning was just perfect for 3.
Schwartz Southern Fried Potato
3 big baking potatoes
1 packet Schwartz Southern Fried Wedges seasoning
Wash the potatoes. Cut into wedges. Mix with the seasoning and oil. Put to bake in a 200 degrees Celsius oven for about 40 minutes, turning once in between.
Dish up and serve hot. My friend said it would taste awesome with mayonnaise. I don’t have mayonnaise at home. Will try that next time.
These potato wedges are full of taste and flavour…..crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are just addictive. You have to try it to believe me. It’s just so simple so why wait!
Have fun cooking and eating!
