Super Easy Curry Fish Fillet

Curried fish fillet

Curried fish fillet

I cook fish very often. It’s very easy to cook and very healthy too. Fish has very little fat and if it has, it is a good source of Omega-3 oil and Vit D, especially salmon and trout. This is another super easy fish dish which my family likes very much. I think you can have your meal in 10 minutes even if you are very slow. Fish is very easy to cook. You only need about 10 minutes to pan fry it, maybe even less, depending on the thickness of the fish fillet.

Simple And Easy Way To Separate Egg Yolk From Egg White

Egg yolks

25 Egg yolks

Ever find separating egg yolks from egg whites a bit messy and difficult? I always see chefs on TV juggling the egg yolk between the 2 halves of the egg shells. I hope they wash the eggs well. I think it’s not easy for someone who hardly cook or bake to separate the eggs that way. My mom had taught us a very easy way to do it. Use a spoon. It’s so easy, simple, quick and neat. Just follow the pictures and I’m sure you can do it. Try it. It’s fun. I had to separate 25 egg yolks from the egg whites to make the Indonesian Layer Cake (Kek Lapis). It was fast and easy. Even children can do it.

My Super Special Birthday

My birthday

Me and the rainbow birthday cake

It’s my birthday today….yeah!!! A year older a year wiser. Ooops…now I wonder. I went to my dentist the other day and an x-ray showed that I still have a wisdom tooth sleeping happily just beneath the skin!!! I was shocked beyond belief. Looks like I am still not wise enough…hmmmm. Maybe the Year of the Rabbit will bring it out! Oh no, that would mean pain and suffering if it finally decides to come through.

Valentine's Day roses

Valentine's day roses

It’s Valentine’s Day! I love Valentine’s Day. It’s a special day for lovers to express their love for each other by giving stuff like flowers, chocolates, cards etc. For me, I extend my Valentine’s Day to my wonderful children, too. Beside my husband, they are also the joy of my heart.

This year I called my Valentine’s Day as ‘My Big Fat Valentine’s Day!’ Why? There’s no good reason except that the name makes me SMILE! It sounds quite like the show ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’. It’s one of my favourite show….so funny….haha. Oh wait, there’s actually some good meaning to the title of my post.
