Children Are Adorable And Funny

Time for some sweet moments to cherish children. Once upon a time we were little, too. Children are always so adorable and funny! I just love them. These are my friends’ children. We were all at a park enjoying ourselves, barbecue and games, when obviously these 2 kids had a story of their own.

Children are an inspiration to me. Let’s remain childlike (not childish) like them. It keeps you young and fun to be with. Enjoy these pictures and smile!

The best times of our lives - once they’ve grown bigger, not so much fun anymore. Hehehehehehe!!!

lequan@luvtoeat  on August 13th, 2010

Aww, your friend’s kids are adorable Mary! I love this post! Not only are children adorable but the say the darndest things too. While changing my 18 month old I said to my 3 and a half yr old daughter, “K, will you get Mommy the baby powder please?” Usually she does but this time her answer surprised me. “No Mommy, I can’t, I’m a princess now.” SIGH! Have a great weekend with your family, dear!

I was told that when I was a kid, I always fought like boys and there was a picture showing my misbehaviors. I mean the girl and boy here are gentle enough.

@suituapui - Haha…..I can agree with you on that :D

@Shirley - Haha…..truly have to be very sneaky! :D The best is to use a very good zoom lens and lay in wait until the right moment. Needs patience…haha :D

I agree fully.. now when they are young and small, treasure the quality time spent with them.. i miss those years…now my sons are quite independant.. they make their own decisions.. no more asking mum, can i.. can i… now i want to treasure the time i spend with my girl.. sometimes it is just not enough seeing her for only few hours before we hit the pillows…

I remembered being stared at a lot when I was young because I have a twin sister and our mom dresses us in uniform clothing! Everywhere we go, strangers will come up and made a comment about how alike we were, etc, etc…:P

Swathi  on August 13th, 2010

They are cuties, adorable. Nice pictures.

Arnold  on August 13th, 2010

What a nice post to start the weekend off on. You are correct, children are very important, they are in fact the only real treasure we have.

The only thing I have against children is the fact that they grow up far too quickly. Just this last Tuesday my little girl, who in my brain was born just the other day, celebrated her 21st birthday. If only time could go by just a little bit slower.

elra  on August 13th, 2010

They make me smile :) Very adorable indeed!

Joy  on August 13th, 2010

tasteofbeirut  on August 13th, 2010

I am so enjoying my 4 year old niece Marie; she wants to be a chef when she grows up and brought me a cookbook as big as she is last weekend, the Larousse Culinaire, from her grandma’s house; she noticed I was reading a Lebanese cookbook the other day and commented to me “Aunti, why did you not use my cookbook?”
anyway, she is adorable and I am spending delicious time with her.

teresa  on August 13th, 2010

so precious!

Mary  on August 13th, 2010

@Jeannie - Oh wow…you have a twin sister….how wonderful!! I love to look at identical twins, too :D They are sooooo adorable. I always think they are amazing. I hope to meet you and your sister one day!

@Swathi - Thanks very much, Swathi! :D

@Arnold - Totally agree with you that they are the real treasure we have. I always thank God for the best ever presents He has ever given me….my girls! :D Totally agree with you too that they grow up too fast. I always felt I have never carried or played with them enough. They just keep growing…their legs keep growing longer and they keep getting heavier…haha. Wow…your daughter is 21! You must be a very happy dad :D Happy Birthday to her! I believe she had a great time :D

@elra - Wonderful to know you are smiling there! :D

@Joy - Thanks very much, Joy! :D

@Magic of Spice - Thanks very much! :D

@rebecca - I think the best gift for a little child is to have a stay home mum. I remember I was so frustrated to have to go and work while my kids were very young. Finally I quitted my teaching job! Never regretted that :D I really cherish those times that I had with them to play, teach and train them. Jasmine is very blessed to have you with her all the time. She is so adorable and such a happy child! :D

@tasteofbeirut - What a wonderful aunty you are to your niece Marie! You are such an inspiration to her! Hang around you more, she will definitely become a great chef….at a young age! I’m so amused when you said she brought a cookbook as big as her…and the things she said….haha :D She’s just so adorable! :D

@teresa - Thanks very much, Teresa! :D

@Cook with Madin - Thanks very much, Madin! Hope you have a wonderful weekend :D

@skip to malou - Malou, I know you have a very soft spot for kids, even when they grow up…haha. Can tell from your blog. I think all kids would want their moms to be like you….or to have you as their mom!…haha :D

@peanutts - Haha…I really like the last one, too….so funny! :D
I’m sooooo amused when you said you would sneak to play with slide or swing….can imagine…LOL. It’s very good….very childlike. I would, too…come, let’s go and play together! :D

@Ananda Rajashekar - While beautiful sceneries bring much relaxation, kids bring tremendous warmth and refreshing to grown ups. It’s not possible not to smile when they are around :D I’m sure you have so much fun with your niece.
