I must say that my weekend was bad and good at the same time. It was bad because my recent blog post, Salmon Burger And Kids Meal, was stolen minutes after it was published! This is the second content theft happened to my blog within such a short time. It was really upsetting. What a way to my weekend! Recently I had shared about Stealing And Scrapping Blog Content - Are You Aware? I will share more soon
Well, it was not an all-bad weekend. The next day I received a parcel….all the way from Singapore! It was quite heavy. I was utterly speechless when I saw Ann’s name on the parcel! My eyes must have popped out and my heart must have missed many beats. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I was just so touched by her love. Inside the box were a few packets of herbs for chicken soup, green and red curry pastes and also konyakku jelly powder and a card. My children were totally astonished. They exclaimed, ‘WOW’. The next moment, they were excitedly screaming, ‘Mom, cook this! Cook this one first!’
It looks like she could read my mine. The things she sent are just what my family loves very much! A very BIG THANK YOU to you, Ann for such a lovely gift! I have already used one packet. It was very delicious. Will post soon.
Like many, Ann has become a very special friend to me through blogging. In the blogosphere she is popularly known as Anncoo. She is a wonderful food blogger and her blog, http://anncoo.blogspot.com, has always inspired me to be a better cook. All her dishes are of a high standard. From her blog and all the comments and her reply to the comments in the comment box, it’s undeniable that she is a very friendly person. She has a big heart of love. She even celebrated her doggie’s birthday by making him a beautiful dessert. Check it out at Cookie’s 11th Birthday. All dog lovers must check that out….beautiful pictures.
Ann was my guest blogger recently. She wrote an awesome blog post about tofu. It was Tofu With Prawns - Steamed And Deep Fried (Guest Post). It’s a lovely recipe that can be served in two ways, steamed or deep fried.
Then, what surprised me too were the beautiful stamps, 3 of them shown here. They remind me of my wonderful dad. These bring back lots of sweet childhood memories. We call this animal ‘anteater’. My dad was excellent in catching these anteaters. I was very young then but I do remember every so often my dad would carry home an anteater he caught from the forest. It wasn’t a protected animal at that time I’m sure. Once he got home, he would drive a nail through the end of its tail to make a hole. Then he would put a wire through the hole and tie it to a pillar. We loved to play with it.
The anteater is a very shy animal. It would curl up when disturbed. Then we would wait very patiently, most quietly, for it to uncurl itself again. I remember being so thrilled to see it uncurl itself. But my utter excitement only made it curl up into a ball again! Well, I’m not a stamp collector but I will keep these.
I’m sure many of you have made a lot of wonderful friends on the blogosphere. Blogging has made a lot of difference to many people, both to the bloggers and to the readers. It has made such a big difference in my life. It is fun and I have learned so much from other bloggers, both food and non food. On top of that, I have tried out lots of recipes and have all my recipes in one place!
To all my readers and blogger friends, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you for visiting my blog and for being my friend. Appreciate your visit, your comments and your friendship very, very much. These 2 beautiful awards are specially for you. Please accept them.
