I love eating patties of all types. Most of the time I made turkey mince patties. My family likes patties very much and I love cooking them for 2 main reasons. Firstly, they are delicious and secondly, I can hide in vegetables.

A few days ago I decided to make salmon and prawns patties, first time trying it. They were very delicious. Before the dinner was ready, the patties were almost all gone! My children couldn’t wait. They said the patties were really good. Of course I was very glad that they didn’t realise how much onions and coriander I put in.

Sweet Potatoes are my favourites…..delicious and nutritious. I have shared quite a few of my favourite sweet potato dishes or desserts. It is one root vegetable that is always available in my house.

Recently my friend served me pan fried sweet potato slices when I visited her. They tasted absolutely delicious even though it was just plain fried. I had never cooked that way before and didn’t realize that it can be so good. It’s soft, creamy and sweet. It has become my most recent indulgence.

Cooking rice porridge or congee is my favourite for 2 main reasons. Firstly my family loves it very much no matter how I cook it and secondly it is very easy to cook and you can go wild with your creativity.

I have been eating a lot of porridge since my stomach upset last week. It was easy for the stomach as I didn’t have much appetite. I progressed from plain porridge to vegetables porridge and then finally with some eat added. Char siu chicken porridge was my best. I only had 2 small slices of the chicken then. Just thought my stomach needed more rest.

Asparagus is a very delicious vegetable. It has a lovely sweetness. Since prawns are my favourite, adding to asparagus will surely add extra flavour to this dish. I used king prawns here. This is again a very simple, easy and quick stir fry, yet very delicious. You don’t need much seasoning to this dish. Just some oyster sauce, salt and sesame oil would do.

Baked Spring Chicken and Egg Bok Choy was what my children cooked for dinner when I was down with a bad stomach upset a few days ago. I’m really glad that they cooked quite a big plate of vegetables. It looks simple, delicious and healthy. I think their photography is not bad too.

They had Teriyaki Salmon Jacket Potato for lunch, but without vegetables. I think they knew they would be questioned so they cooked a big plate of vegetables for dinner to show me….haha.
