Wishing everyone a Very Fruitful and Beautiful 2010!

Wishing everyone a Very Fruitful and Beautiful 2010!

Today is the last day of 2009! What is past is past and we cannot undo anymore. It’s either we rejoice or we regret. I got up this morning and thought through again what I had achieved and what I had failed to achieve this year. I spent more time thinking about the coming year and all my New Year Resolutions that I have defined over the past few weeks.

Dry Turkey Wontons

Delicious dry wontons

Wontons, or wantans, are very simple, easy and quick to cook, yet very delicious. If you are very busy and don’t have much time to do any proper cooking, this is an excellent option. They are my family favourite, whether served dry or in soup. As long as you have ready minced meat in your fridge or freezer, wontons take less than 20 minutes to cook.

It’s still festive holidays here in my family. It’s just so wonderful that everyone is so relaxed and happy. My hubby and I went for badminton with friends yesterday. Badminton is my best sport. Christmas Day Family Fun

Lovely Christmas dinner

Lovely Christmas dinner

Christmas day is over but the fun and joyous festive atmosphere still fills the air. My family had a lovely time staying in. Instead of lazing around, we tried to make some changes to the interior settings. We hope to have a nice music corner, a reading corner, a computer corner, a coffee corner, an exercise corner and an entertaining corner. Looks like quite an ambition but it is achievable.

Christmas Food And Cheers 2009

It’s Christmas Eve and I haven’t wrapped my family’s presents!! I got up just now and saw a lot of wrapped presents in the living room. Looks like I’m the last one to wrap my presents! I’ll do it after writing this post.

This looks like my busiest Christmas ever. This is also a time when I have little access to cooking facilities and internet connection. But I’m still having fun and enjoying myself. I know there are lots of things to do the next few weeks but life is about taking one step at a time.

As I look through these few months of cooking and blogging, there are some dishes that are my favourite which I would want to cook today and tomorrow. Here are just a few:
