It’s time for prawns or shrimps again for my family. I bought a packet of king prawns and a packet of ready cooked shrimps. It was a little difficult to decide which one to cook first. Finally I went for the shrimps first. I could do a shrimp and vegetable stir fry. I had bok choy in the fridge so that would probably be a very good combination. The green colour of the vegetable and the shrimps would be beautiful.

Leeks are a very delicious vegetable. It has a very lovely sweetness. I cook this very often. Sometimes I cook leeks potato soup which my daughter likes very much. But this time I thought I want to cook it differently for a change.

I was looking into my fridge when I found a few pieces of baked curried chicken from the previous evening and some red radishes. Yes, that would be a good combination of colours and taste. My family loves curry and I thought a curry-flavoured leeks would be irresistible. It did come out very delicious.

My family loves zucchini, also known as courgette. I always fry it with eggs which is my family favourite. But I thought it’s time for a change. I bought a packet of frozen cod which I thought of steaming it for dinner but then no one was at home to eat. Everyone had something on. Not knowing what to do, I just added more salt to it and kept in the fridge. 2 days later, I took it out to fry. Wow…it was so salty. I thought….this could be just nice for any dish topping. True enough it was really good as a topping for fried zucchini and congee. My family liked it very much.

Well-seasoned lamb goes very well with many dishes. The lamb has to be salty and peppery enough.  Just about a week ago, I cooked Lamb And Vegetable Rice Noodles. My family loved it very much. Since my family loves bok choy, I thought this would be a good combination. I was right….it was such a good match that the big plate of vegetables was not enough for 3 persons. I have to double the vegetables next time. The flavour of the lamb infused into the vegetables beautifully.
