Delicious Spiral Chicken Curry Puffs

Delicious Spiral Chicken Curry Puffs

Curry Puffs……these little pasties are very popular in Malaysia. I believe in other Asian countries, too. They are found everywhere. There are many types of curry puffs. They come with different pastries and different fillings. I always make the oven baked type to avoid all the frying and cleaning up to do.

However, the other day, I decided to try out the deep fried ones for a gathering of about 40 people. It’s the Spiral Chicken Curry Puffs. That was challenging. It’s the first time I made this type of curry puffs but the result was very rewarding, quite an achievement for me. It’s quite a lot of work; making, frying and cleaning. I made 40 big pieces and all was gone. That proves it’s very delicious. The look was awesome and every bite was so flavourful.

My mom made awesome fried rice but again she has no recipe. Just frustrating! My children are surely luckier as I put down everything here on my blog which they can always refer to. They don’t even have to worry about misplacing cookbooks and recipes which always happen to me.

Healthy Vegetarian Fried Eggplant

Delicious fried aubergine

Delicious fried eggplant

I love to eat eggplant, also called aubergine or brinjal. We grew up eating a lot of this lovely vegetable because my parents used to plant a lot of them in the vegetable garden. I love the way my mom used to cook it….saltish, sweet and a little spicy. It goes great with just plain rice. I could eat just that and rice alone and I would be a very happy girl.

Beautiful avocado drink

My favourite beautiful, healthy avocado drink, just something that I love before going for a few hours of badminton yesterday. It was so refreshing and tasted so good.

I learned that avocado is botanically a fruit but culinary a vegetable. That’s very interesting to me. Maybe we can say that it’s a fruit that tastes like a vegetable. Avocado is high in minerals and vitamins and is very good for health. There are many ways to eat avocado. You can make into a salad, a dessert or even a drink.
