Lovely espresso coffee avocado drink

Lovely espresso coffee avocado drink

Espresso Coffee Avocado Drink! Who can ever imagine that? Definitely not me. I thought my mother-in-law’s milky avocado drink was already very satisfying to me. But after posting my article on it, I get suggestions of coffee avocado drink which is a very popular Indonesian avocado drink. I was just too excited to try. I have to admit I’m always inquisitive and adventurous when comes to food.

Well, it sure looks like avocado fever here. I’ve been eating a lot of avocados since Divina inspired me with more health benefits and recipes of it. It’s always good to indulge in something so natural and healthy. It’s high in calories so don’t over indulge. Maybe a good time to consider an exercise program if you haven’t. It’s good for health too.

Making espresso coffee avocado drink is really very simple, easy and quick. It’s the same way as making milky avocado drink except that you have to add a teaspoon of espresso coffee powder with a tablespoon of hot water to dissolve it first. The rest is the same.

Espresso coffee with condensed milk

Espresso coffee with condensed milk

Ingredients
1 ripe avocado
3T condensed milk
1C cold water
1t expresso coffee powder
1T hot water

scoop out the avocado

scoop out the avocado with a spoon

avocado ready to be mashed

avocado ready to be mashed with a fork

mashed avocado

The final step is just to add the mashed avocado to the coffee and enjoy.

Special note here: make sure that the avocado is really ripe and creamy. Mine was not soft enough, nice for salad. It would have been much nicer if I had the patience to wait for another day or two but I was just too excited to try. It was still good though. You can blend everything together into a smooth drink but I prefer the pieces of avocado for some nice smooth feel in my mouth.

Never try this before. Sounds not bad, I should try it out.

I love avocado. I think you’re collecting avocado recipes now. :)It really sounds that you can’t wait to try that drink. If I could find an avocado in the market today, I’ll buy it and try this. We usually make an avocado shake with evaporated milk, sugar and crushed ice. But save some time, condensed milk would be great just like you did.

Masterthin, thanks for your comments. I find it very nice. You should try it out.

Divina, thanks for your comments. Oh yes, I think I should be trying out more avocado recipes and posting it on my blog. It’s always lovely to share with everyone what is good. It makes me happy and hope it makes others happy too. One of these days I’ll try the blended one with evaporated milk and sugar.

Frankly, I haven’t try anything with avocado before! Sounds crazy…avocado is not easily found in small town like mine. But I think I should try it out later when I went to shop at Melaka.

I think you you can easily find it in the local markets and they are as good as the imported ones. I would go for the local ones. My mother-in-law always buys the local ones. They are green in colour. Try it. Avocado drink is very nice.

I hope avocados are in season all year long. Haha. We have more mangoes than avocados but I like avocados better than mangoes.

Divina, you are very lucky to have your own avocado trees. Harvesting time must be very exciting. I love mangoes too. I think I love mangoes more. We used to have quite a few mango trees in our backyard. We collected by the baskets every morning!

Just made the avocado drink this morning for breakfast. So satisfied and it actually really fills you up without having to eat anything else. Great recipe!
