In a recent trip to the Malaysian Hall (Malaysian High Commission), we decided to have something different. This time we went in the evening for a try. The crowd was again as big as when we were there during lunch time. We ordered the Malaysian ‘kway tiao goreng‘ which is fried rice noodles. It tasted so good with a little spiciness to it. The portion is not too big which is good for me. Together with a plate of ‘nasi lemak’ and 2 glasses of ‘teh tarik’, it cost £11 altogether. What a satisfying meal!
‘Nasi lemak’, which is coconut rice with the various side dishes, is still our favourite each time we are there. This time we called for a different topping; ‘beef rendang‘ (a fairly dry beef curry) instead of the usual curry chicken and an additional vegetable. That was really good.
Try to make a trip to the Malaysian Hall if ever you are in London for some authentic Malaysian cuisines cooked by the Malays. It’s very near to Queensway or Baywaters tube stations. Check out my earlier posts below on the address and location.

Thought of the day……
‘In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.’
