Happy or Unhappy?

How many of us are not contented, not satisfied, always frustrated and unhappy and not thankful of what we have and who we are? Do we constantly fret for what other people have…..their looks, their possessions, their achievements, their status, their families, their marriage, their children, their jobs, etc?

Progress Comes With Complications

As the world progresses , it also becomes more complicated and competitive in all ways. There’s constant complaining, constant comparing, constant accusing, unceasing dissatisfaction and discontentment, so much so many find themselves embroiled in the cauldron of self-deception. People have become increasingly dissatisfied even with themselves. They find it hard even to accept themselves and would go to great lengths to change their looks or generate money to keep up with their lavish lifestyle. Everyone wants to be a celebrity, to be rich and to be famous……FAST!

It Takes Time To Build Your Life

But where are all these leading to? Too often, it leads to frustrations, disappointments, hurts, anger, worries, anxieties and disillusions and eventually to a broken, damaged life when the bottom falls out. We live in a fast paced society. Everything needs to be fast……..EAT FAST, WALK FAST, TALK FAST, WORK FAST! But sad to say, you CANNOT build up your life fast. It takes time to build your character if you are willing. You need good characters to achieve many things in life; to see your dreams come true. Yes, the garden on the other side of the fence may be greener but you can make your garden very green and beautiful too. You just need to spend time to work on it to make that happen, with knowledge and perseverance.

Keep Learning Keep Building Your Life

Your life can be happy, meaningful and fulfilled if you are willing to keep learning and keep building and investing into your life instead of complaining and fretting. Be very thankful for who you are and what you have. Watch this video which, I really hope, will change your perception of yourself and start doing something purposeful for your life instead of wasting it away. Live to add values to other people’s life to live a great life. Nick has no hands and no legs and yet he lives his life with a purpose, without worries.

Are you dissatisfied with yourself? Do you find you have too many limitations to do anything? Is it any worse than Nick… arms, no legs? Is there anything that you can do for yourself or for others today? Love yourself, love your life and love those around you. There is a greatness in you that awaits to be developed.

Thought of the day……

“I believe the single most significant decision I can make on a day-to-day basis is my choice of attitude. It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, fame or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstances, or my position. Attitude keeps me going or cripples my progress. It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitudes are right, there is no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me.”

That was an incredible video. Such an inspiring man, he really appreciates and makes the most out of life. I think it is always best to treasure and be thankful for all the things that we do have and always maintain a postive attitude towards life!
