The Best Juicer For Health

Health Must Be Your Top Priority

Is health your top priority? I hope it is. Many of you would answer, ‘YES!’ without hesitation but just don’t do anything about it, usually either out of ignorance or laziness. You just surrender your life to the health insurance companies, the drugs companies, private hospitals and doctors who make tonnes of money out of sick people, not counting the stress, anguish, regret and time wasted that comes along with it. You can abuse your bodies but sicknesses will catch up later. Your body is incredibly amazing in self-healing but it can only take in so much abuse. One day it will break down.

Feed Your Body With Live Food

You cannot feed dead food to a live body. We are the only living creatures on earth that eat cooked food and still drink lots of milk into adulthood and yet still suffering from widespread osteoporosis. Just doesn’t make sense to me.  We need live nutrients for a healthy body.

The Best Juicer To Invest

Mary's Favourite Juicer

The best and most important thing that you should do is to invest in a good juicer, the 6-in-1 juicer, and not the centrifugal type. I have been using this juicer for more than 10 years and find that it’s really the best. It’s robust and multi-purpose. A lot of my friends have bought it and would agree to that. It costs £159.99 in UK. It comes with a juicing book. The price is affordable to everyone. It’s worth every penny when you think of the investment into your health. I bought mine in Malaysia for RM1650! This is just not affordable for many people. All through these years, I have seen my family’s health improve. Flu is a very rare occasion and if it happens, it goes off fast too without a need for medication.

Centrifugal Juicer - IT’s A NO NO!

DO NOT buy the centrifugal type of juicer. It’s not that cheap and does not give you high quality juice. So you are actually just wasting your time and money. I bought one recently while away for a short holiday. It was an utter regret. I bought it just because I miss my carrot-apple juice. The juice tasted different from the one from the 6-in-1 juicer. In fact the second glass of juice came out very warm! The spinning basket creates heat and spoils the nutrients in the juice. In fact in the early days when I started juicing, I bought this type of juicer because no one advised me and I was ignorant (lack of knowledge!). 3 such juicers burnt out because I juiced 12 big carrots and 4 big apples (for 4 in my family) every session. It was not meant for such a heavy load.

Best Juicer - Order from Amazon

If you live in UK (called Matstone), the States (called Samson) or any other place, you can click on the banner link at the top right to purchase. Choose Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com depending on the place you stay. In Malaysia, this juicer is called Alpha. This unique juicer is a 6-in-one juicer, one that  I strongly recommend for high quality juice. It is multi-purpose in function. For me, I use it mainly for making carrot-apple juice. I also use it a lot to mince herbs for making my family’s favourite vegetarian food and also to mince  garlic, onions, ginger and other spices for my Malaysian cuisines. It’s my most important kitchen gadget.

It’s so true about the centrifugal spinning juicer. I bought one myself and the juice came out hot! Needless to say, the juice tasted really bad. I shall be looking into the juicer you recommended.

Mary  on July 18th, 2009

You must be juicing a lot for the juice to come out hot. Or maybe you did not cut the carrots small enough and that’s why. But whatever it is the 6-in-1 juicer is still the best. It grinds the vegetables and does not create heat that destroys the nutrients in the juice.

I wanted to buy that Matstone juicer for a long time now. I need to find some space in the kitchen too and save some money. Fresh vegetable juice tastes really great.

Mary  on August 20th, 2009

Hope you will be able to buy the juicer soon. All my friends who bought it said it is really good.

Divina  on August 22nd, 2009

I will save some money first. I need some really healthy juice.

How much does it cost in Philippines? When I bought it in Malaysian more than 10 years ago, it cost me RM1650!! That’s more than £300. In UK, it costs about £160. Looking back, every cent spent on it was worth it. Divina, hope you can buy one soon.

I think it’s about P12,000. It’s a different brand. But they do last a long time compared to the cheaper ones.

such a great advice! there is not enough space in my kitchen but maybe we can put it in the living room,it looks like an interesting decoration too to me. i am always tempted to buy a juicer but didnt yet and eat row fruit in small squares. :-)

Dvina and Radha, thanks very much for your comments. After using for so many years, I have to say this juicer is really worth every penny. The quality of the juice is really superior if you think of health and taste. It doesn’t take up a very big space. Hope you will be able to get one soon. It’s really the only juicer that I recommend. You can use it to grind nuts, beans, herbs and spices too.

After couple months deliberating over investing in a good juicer, I decided to purchase one. I bought the Matstone like you recommended. Made my first cup of juice yesterday morning and the taste is INCREDIBLE. It’s SO different from the cheap juicers or juice you buy in cartons from the supermarket. Nothing beats freshly made juice. I love pineapple so I juiced that today as well and it came out so well. Very useful juicer for mincing and a lot of other functions I am yet to experiment with. Great fun =)

By the way, for those of you still considering, there’s no need to wait. You won’t regret it. It makes great tasting juice, has many other useful functions, and looks great in the kitchen! I bought the ivory colour which looks a lot better than burgandy.

Divina  on September 21st, 2009

Me too, there’s not enough space in the kitchen but fresh juice are just refreshing. I love combining pineapples and carrots; oranges and beets; cucumber, celery, apples and carrots. The combinations are endless. Mary, do you decompose the pulp?

Mary  on November 24th, 2009

@Jo - Great to know that you have bought the juicer and enjoy juicing and drinking freshly made juices.

@Divina - Hope you will soon find a place for your juicer. Thanks for sharing. No, I don’t decompose the pulp. I just throw it away….so wasteful I know.
