What’s the most expensive egg you’ve seen? For me, it is the goose egg. My parents kept about 15 geese at one stage when we were young. They were very fierce and used to chase us around. They could run very fast & they often caught up with us. A peck on our leg is a guaranteed bruise. No wonder people said that geese can help to keep robbers away from your house. Besides my parents said that goose droppings can keep snakes away from the compound.
Goose eggs are very big, may be 4 times the size of a big chicken egg. We used to have a lot goose eggs omelet then. They taste like chicken eggs to me. The only thing is they look impressive because of its size.
A while ago, I was at a local market in London. Something just caught my eyes………a tray of goose eggs…..£2 each!! That’s the most expensive egg that I have seen in my life. Who would buy a goose egg for £2? A tray of 18 free range chicken eggs only cost £2.50. I think I’ll still stick to chicken eggs. Well, I just wonder whether the price is in proportion to the cholesterol level in the egg. Maybe the goose egg is very low in cholesterol to cost so much.
Have you found a more expensive egg? Have you eaten goose egg? How do you cook it? Is £2 per egg worth it? Do add and comment.
Thought of the day……
“Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. It’s a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don’t have. It’s so simple-yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend.”
