A Surprised, Sweet Encounter - Another Special Friend
Won’t it be so sweet if everyday you have a surprised encounter that just warms your heart throughout the day?
I would say I am very lucky to have such an encounter after a wonderful encounter at McDonald. But this occasion really amuses me.
Broken-hearted
A few months ago, a good friend of mine was going through a hard time after she and her boyfriend broke off. They had been together for 1+ years. She was very upset, disappointed, disillusioned, hurt and angry. There are all the Whys? Whys? Whys? I felt so sorry for her. She said, ‘Mary, help me to find one fair and hairy one.’!! I nodded, wondered, smiled and said, ‘OK. The right one will come along. Give yourself some time.’
‘Request’ met - not the right one!
Then just recently, while walking along the road near my home, suddenly I felt ’someone’ was following me. On turning around, I saw ‘a fair, hairy one’ - actually furry - a beautiful cat! It jumped onto the low cement wall looking at me lovingly. Wow! that made my day. Immediately he reminds me of my friend….haha. How naughty! But I’m sure my friend would love him as a pet though.
Posing for photos
I had to ask Steven to run home to take my camera. For once I forgot my camera. How disappointed! Of course Steven did. It’s either he runs home or I run home. If I run home, the cat would have gone by the time I’m back. Anyway, how sweet of him! About 5 minutes run….good exercise for him.
Here are the photos of my special friend.
He jumped off the wall, led us to a grass lawn nearby and showed off some of his antics. It was so fascinating to watch him.
He looked at us sadly when it’s time for us to say ‘good-bye’ I sure miss him and that wonderful encounter. He always reminds me of my friend who went through a hard time trying to heal her broken heart. I haven’t shown her these photos yet. One fine day I will, when she has got over with it….just for a good laugh.
Do you have such wonderful encounters to share? I think animals have such a lovely way to captivate our hearts. I’m looking forward to more.
Thought of the day……
