Do You Have A Dream?

Do you have a dream….a Wonderful Dream?
Is your dream coming true?
Or are you crying over your broken dream?

No matter what situation you may be in, you need to have a dream. Dreams are there to help us plough through life with excitement. It’s refreshing to the soul. If you don’t have a dream, you can dream one today. If you have a dream, get out there, work hard on it to make it come true. And if your dream has been destroyed, dream another dream. You are never too old to dream.

I am one that loves to dream. Many of my dreams came true. Don’t despise small dreams because it is the small dreams that will propel you to achieve your big dreams.

A Dream Destroyed

However, some dreams do face a catastrophic ending just like one of my dreams. I have always been very passionate about teaching Maths and have been very successful in my career. It is always my dream to help pupils love Maths and get good grades and make the school proud. But sadly, the Headmaster of my new school called me up and dismissed me. They apologised more than a year later for their wrong action. It came too late. It completely destroyed my dream and caused intense pain.

Dream Another Dream

But there was one thing I knew…..dream another dream….a bigger dream, a better dream. About 4 years ago I dreamed to have a blog. I dreamed to own one myself and not a free blog. I dreamed to have a blog that can inspire and motivate and add values to others. It’s an awesome dream because I can blog wherever I go and add values to others wherever they are. Since my dismissal, my dream helped me to cope with the pain that I went through. And today my dream came true, after all the months of hard work…..a Wonderful Dream. My Blogging Journey (coming soon) explains how my dream come true. You can use the same principles to make your dream come true.

I love the song sang by ABBA, ‘I have a dream’ which says:

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

What is a Wonderful Dream?

A wonderful dream will make your world a wonderful world.

A wonderful dream is one that adds value to yourself and to others and make other people’s world a wonderful world too.

The world will be a wonderful world when we know how to show love and care eventhough we are different.

I hope this video will inspire you. Sometimes we just have to learn from the animals. Keep learning keep smiling even when life is tough because your wonderful dream is within your reach if you reach out.

Thought of the day…..
‘The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched … but are felt in the heart.’
Helen Keller

great post Mary! i’m sorry to hear about your dream that was destroyed. you are such a strong and inspiring woman to pick yourself up again like that and dream another dream. your children are very lucky to have you as a mom. i can see you have taught them well just by reading Sharon’s beautiful blog lately. she has a very curious, yet fun loving nature to her. i can tell she’s not one to be afraid of chasing her dream. i have much to learn from you my sweet friend. Sharon’s blog allows me to escape motherhood for a while and just be a carefree girl again. your blog allows me to better myself as a mom and learn to cook many different meals for my family. you both have given me the best of both worlds and i’m very thankful for that. i’m so glad you have this blog for your girls to look back at to learn some family recipes and remember your wise words. i hope my blog will provide that for my kiddies as well. hope you’re having a lovely weekend.

@LeQuan - Ya, it was a painful experience but I’ve got over with it. I felt good and proud that I remained professional throughout and the school admitted wrongdoing. It is a good learning lesson for everyone to know what type of people we can meet in the working world. From it I knew who are friends and who are not, who can be trusted and who can’t, who are honest and who are hypocrites. What I went through is good for my girls. We have to be wise like a serpent and innocent like a dove…taken from the BIble. I’m so glad that you enjoy my blog and Sharon’s too. We are similar in many ways and yet different in many ways. You have such a loving family. I’m sure your kids are having much fun with you everyday. You are an amazing mother, wife and friend! :D

Thank you Mary. That means a lot coming from someone who gives me so much inspiration. I think the same of you as well! Hope you are feeling much better from your headache! I will be stalking your bloggie, but definitely no pressure to reply back. We are all busy moms, so I understand if there is no reply. You have so so many wonderful recipes here that it’s hard to stay away. Take care my lovely Mary!
